Andrew S. Gibbons is the Department Chair of Instructional Psychology and Technology at Brigham Young University. He has experience in the field of Instructional Design and Technology. For eighteen years he served as a Consultant for two major marketing and consultancy firms where he developed training systems for fighter pilots, guided missile maintenance personnel, airline pilots and middle school science students.〔BYUSpeeches. In 1969, he received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English and Chemistry from Brigham Young University. Thereafter, in 1974, he received his Doctorate (Ph.
